301 redirect is an efficient way of website redirection, which is interpreted as a permanent move. However, there are many queries as to whether 301 redirection affects a website’s search engine rankings. There are several reasons why one might need to redirect a web page. These include an unresponsive or broken URL, an inactive web page or website, creation of a new site preferred to the old one, troubleshooting a site leading thereby causing one to make a temporary detour, or testing a new website functionality or design.
