When running your own online company, it is important to have a successful inbound marketing campaign in place. There are many different features you can go after when promoting your website, ranging from the kind of ads you have for the website to promoting yourself better on search engines. It does not cost a large amount of money to create a successful inbound marketing campaign for your website (often times you don’t need to spend money at all), but with just a little bit of time, you are going to see your website take off, with more traffic and visitors than you ever though possible.
Ads
For starters, if you have some extra capital, creating ads for your website is a good idea. Google Adwords is one of the leading methods for creating ads for your website, as these ads are featured on Google and other websites owned by Google. When creating these ads, you select very specific keywords (the more specific the better) that describe your product. This way, when someone types in the keywords into the Google search engine your ads appear. One of the best features of Adwords though, is you don’t actually spend any money when someone sees your ad. In fact, you don’t pay a dime until someone actually clicks on the ad. Once someone clicks on the ad they are inbound to your website or particular product on the ad (it is up to you what content on your website the ad leads to.
Social Media
Social media is an excellent way to reach other visitors to your website and bring in traffic. For starters, you can create a social media account for your website, using sites such as Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest and a variety of other media sites. From here you can create back links towards your website, invite friends, provide special discounts for people that friend your account or become a follower, and so on. On top of this, creating ads for these social media sites do pay off handsomely. When marketing your product, you generally know a specific demographic that is more likely going to be interested in your services. Because these websites already know the age, gender, race, likes and dislikes of the specific individuals, you can pinpoint the exact individuals you want to sell the product to and go from there. This way, people who are most likely going to be interested in your services are the ones that are able to view the ads.
SEO
Search engines are one of the largest drivers behind inbound marketing. More people are sent to your website from search engines than other options (typically). For starters, to optimize your website, you need to create specific keywords (just as you did with the ads). These are the keywords that describe your website and are what people type into the search engine to find you. From there, tagging back links on other sites that lead to yours is important, not to mention having pictures up, so people performing image searches can still find your page.
